ABOUT
The hive has a pest problem, although calling these robotic Invaders “pests” feels slightly unfair to anything that can be handled with a rolled-up newspaper. Star Wardens from Twist Gaming launches players into a neon-lit battle fought across a futuristic honeycomb filled with hostile machines, heavily armed defenders and some extremely valuable stolen cargo.
The action takes place on a 7-column, 5-row grid containing 35 hexagonal tiles. Wins require five or more connected matching symbols, with each tile touching as many as six neighbours. Winning clusters explode before new symbols tumble into the gaps, creating opportunities for additional victories during the same spin.

Star Wardens really comes alive through its three defenders: WILDER, MAGNUS and ZERO. One covers the hive in Wilds, another charges it with multipliers, and the third solves the Invader problem with overwhelming firepower. Apparently, peaceful negotiations were never on the table.
Betting Options and Bonus Features
Star Wardens has a 96.70% RTP, high volatility and a remarkably wide betting range fit for wallets of all sizes. The maximum prize is 15,000x the stake, while every successful cluster activates a Tumble, removing the winning symbols and dropping fresh ones onto the honeycomb.
WILDER plants Wilds in a Y-shaped formation during the base game. In Free Spins, his pattern expands into a full flower covering all six neighbouring tiles. These Wilds substitute for regular paying symbols and can contribute to several connecting clusters at once.
MAGNUS places 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x or 15x multipliers beneath different positions. Values sharing the same tile are added together, and any cluster crossing that position receives the combined boost. These tiles remain active throughout Free Spins, allowing the multiplier network to become more powerful after every tumble.
ZERO detonates every Invader currently occupying the board. Invaders do not create cluster wins and cannot disappear without ZERO, but destroying larger swarms produces higher payouts. Some also carry Cargo Pods worth between 2x and 500x, while a specially marked pod contains a 5,000x prize. The catch is that every pod must be caught in ZERO’s blast before its carrier leaves the hive.
Landing four, five, six or seven Scatters awards 6, 8, 10 or 12 Free Spins. Three or more additional Scatters can retrigger the round, while persistent MAGNUS multipliers and WILDER’s expanded Wild pattern give the bonus its strongest cluster-building potential.
There are also three Ante options. BONUS HUNTER costs 2.5x the stake and improves the Free Spins frequency, ACTION FRENZY costs 5x and guarantees WILDER or MAGNUS on every base spin, while INVADER AMBUSH costs 15x and adds a Cargo Pod-carrying Invader to every spin. Each mode maintains the same 96.70% RTP.
Bonus Buy | Cost | What It Unlocks |

MAGNUS OVERDRIVE | 800x | Free Spins with MAGNUS guaranteed on every spin |
Roshtein’s Take
I think MAGNUS is the real star of this particular galaxy. Watching multiplier tiles remain on the honeycomb and gradually combine gives Free Spins a proper sense of progression, especially when WILDER starts planting Wilds across the most valuable positions.

The 800x MAGNUS OVERDRIVE buy is certainly not for cautious players, but it puts the game’s most explosive mechanic front and centre. With persistent multipliers, 5,000x Cargo Pods and a 15,000x maximum win, Star Wardens has enough firepower to send a balance into orbit.
