Ranging Guild Slot review

There is something wonderfully cocky about naming a slot Ranging Guild and then covering the reels in enough bows, arrows and targets to make Robin Hood look under-equipped. Titan Gaming turns the whole thing into a fantasy archery trial where the objective is simple: keep firing until something valuable finally lands dead center.

The 6-reel, 5-row grid looks like the guild has emptied its entire equipment shed onto the range, with quivers, arrowheads, bows and brightly painted targets scattered across the board. Instead of traditional paylines, wins come from landing at least eight matching symbols anywhere on the grid, so accuracy matters slightly less than simply filling the place with arrows.

Things get considerably more serious once the bonuses start flying. Ranging Guild builds toward three increasingly powerful Free Spins rounds, escalating Global Multipliers and the unusual Bonus Buy Battle system, while the biggest possible shot can land a 50,000x maximum win. That is one bullseye worth putting a few holes in the target for.

Betting Options and Bonus Features

Ranging Guild comes with an RTP of 96.01%, while Titan Gaming provides a high volatility rating. The standard maximum win is 25,000x the stake, although the Bonus Buy Battle format can double the ceiling to an impressive 50,000x.

Winning combinations trigger Tumbles, removing the successful symbols before new ones drop into the empty positions. As long as another group of at least eight matching symbols appears, the sequence continues, giving every good hit the chance to fire off another shot. 

The real progression starts with the Bonus symbols. Landing 3 Bonus symbols triggers Guild Hunt with 10 free spins and a 4x Global Multiplier, four symbols unlock Target Tumble with 10 spins starting at 16x, and five hit the center of the board with Bullseye, where 10 spins begin with a hefty 32x multiplier.

All three bonuses use a Scatter Meter with three segments. Every Bonus symbol collected during Free Spins fills one segment, and filling the meter doubles the Global Multiplier, awards +2 additional free spins, and resets the meter back to zero. Keep hitting those Bonus symbols and the multiplier can eventually climb as high as 1,024x, which is where this particular archery lesson can suddenly turn into something much more dangerous.

The Bonus Buy Battle is the feature that really separates Ranging Guild from the usual target practice. You first choose a battle type and volatility level, then pick between two bonus setups while your opponent automatically gets the other one.

Both sides alternate spins through their respective bonus rounds, and whoever finishes with the higher total wins the combined payout from both. Lose the duel and you get nothing, while a tie goes in your favor, making the whole thing feel less like a regular bonus buy and more like two archers standing at opposite ends of the range waiting to see who blinks first.

Roshtein’s Take

I think the Scatter Meter and Global Multiplier are where Ranging Guild really finds the center of the target. Starting Bullseye at 32x is already strong, but knowing that the multiplier can keep doubling all the way toward 1,024x gives a good bonus plenty of room to become something huge.

The Bonus Buy Battles are the part I would be most curious to play, though. Putting two bonus rounds against each other with a 50,000x maximum win on the table adds a bit of genuine tension, and that competitive twist gives Titan Gaming's archery setup more bite than the usual point-and-shoot free spins formula.
