Apparently one Duck Hunters game, a Happy Hour spin-off and several thousand dead cartoon birds were not enough. Nolimit City has released Duck Hunters 2, sending its camouflage-clad family back into the woods for another deeply questionable hunting expedition.
This time, however, the ducks are no longer prepared to play the victims. They have armed themselves, organised a resistance and turned the entire forest into a burning battlefield. The hunters might have brought the guns, but the birds appear to have brought everything else.
Duck Hunters 2 carries over the grubby reality-show atmosphere from its preposterous predecessor into an even louder sequel. The result is classic Nolimit City territory, packed with dark comedy, exaggerated violence and enough explosive machinery to make an ordinary hunting rifle feel hopelessly underpowered.
Duck Hunters 2 uses a 5-reel, 6-row Scatter Pays grid, awarding wins for eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the screen. Winning icons disappear and new ones tumble into place, while every cleared position receives a 2x multiplier. Repeat wins double that value, potentially pushing an individual square as high as 16,384x.
Random multipliers can also appear before a spin. With a 96% RTP, high volatility and a 40,000x maximum win, even an unremarkable patch of forest can suddenly become prime hunting territory.
Regular Wilds substitute for paying symbols, while xWays symbols transform into matching icons and boost their positions by 2x, 4x or 8x. Infectious xWays make every matching symbol expand to the same size, potentially spreading one oversized target across much of the grid.
Bombs detonate after wins are counted, removing themselves and every symbol above them while increasing multipliers along the reel. Upgraded Bombs clear positions in both directions, leaving more space for tumbles and turning heavily boosted reels into very expensive craters.
